Mechanism of Action of Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture

CFA works through several important mechanisms:

• Collagen stimulation: It creates tiny microtraumas in the skin. When the body senses these wounds, it goes into repair mode and triggers the body’s natural healing response. This involves the production of collagen and elastin, two proteins that provide structure and elasticity to the skin. Collagen and elastin help fill in fine lines and wrinkles, plump up sagging areas, and improve skin texture and tone.
